Information meetings on the “Organic Farming” type of operation, which is planned to be introduced under the “Agri-Environment, Climate and Organic Farming Measure” of the IPARD III Programme, were held in Niğde and Yozgat on 23-24 September.
The meetings, organised within the scope of the “Technical Assistance Project for Agri-Environment Activities”, were attended by staff of the IPARD Managing Authority, staff of the Provincial and District Directorates of Agriculture and Forestry, staff of the central office and provincial coordination units of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution (ARDSI), representatives of chambers of agriculture, village headmen and farmers.
During the meetings, presentations delivered by the Managing Authority staff provided participants with information on the objective and general framework of the “Organic Farming” type of operation, which will be implemented for the first time under the IPARD III Programme. Information was also shared on the ongoing preparatory work for the implementation of the operation, and participants’ views and suggestions were collected.
