The two-day training, conducted by Bursa Uludağ University Continuing Education Center on 12–13 August, was attended by the staff from the IPARD Managing Authority and the IPARD Paying Agency.
The training aimed to provide participants with practical, entry-level competencies in defining sustainability performance indicators in the areas of carbon, water, energy and waste; identifying the necessary activity data; performing basic calculations; and evaluating the results. Approaches to systematically identifying and managing risks associated with these indicators were also presented.
The training covered the definitions of sustainability performance indicators, the key provisions of relevant ISO standards and basic calculation methods. Particular emphasis was placed on evaluating the data obtained through the calculations and on how sustainability performance indicators can be integrated into institutional decision-making processes.
At the end of the training, certificates of participation were presented to the participants.
