The Union of Municipalities of Türkiye organized a Project and Financing Congress attended by representatives from provincial and district municipalities. Many representatives from various institutions and organizations provided information on financing support for municipalities at the Congress. The event, held in Ankara on January 22-23, 2026, was attended by Coordinator Dr. Yeşim Kantaş Erdoğan, representing the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, IPARD Management Authority. A detailed presentation was given on behalf of the Management Authority. After providing general information about IPA/IPARD, more detailed information was given about the "M6 - Public Infrastructure Investments in Rural Areas Measure," which municipalities can also benefit from and which will be implemented for the first time in the IPARD III period. Participants' questions on the subject were answered, and a mutual exchange of views took place.
