The meeting, organized for participants from 81 provinces, began with an opening speech by Dr. Osman YILDIZ, Director of General Directorate of Agricultural Reform and Head of IPARD Managing Authority. In his speech, Mr. YILDIZ emphasized that Measure M6, which will be implemented for the first time with the IPARD III period, is of particular importance not only for our country but also because it is being implemented for the first time in Türkiye among candidate countries. He stated that an important step has been taken to add value to rural areas and wished that this new measure, which will strengthen local development, would be beneficial for our country.
The measure to be implemented only in rural areas will be supported, including road construction and improvement works, water management investments, waste management projects, and investments in energy supply and energy efficiency.
M6 – The following institutions may apply for the Investments in Rural Public Infrastructure Measure.
• Village Administrations
• County, District and Province
• Local Government Associations under the Law No. 5355
• City Administrations
The measures, which will be implemented with a total budget of €156 million, will provide grant support of up to 100%, and projects costing up to €3 million will be considered eligible for funding.
Representatives from the Agricultural and Rural Development Support Institution and the Central Finance and Contracts Unit contributed to the information meeting by giving presentations on the comprehensive application process and PRAG tender rules.
