The General Directorate of Agricultural Reform and the IPARD Managing Authority held a meeting in Artvin to promote and inform the public about the IPARD III Programme, Speaking at the event, Governor Turan Ergün emphasized that Artvin has a potential for development thanks to its natural resources, agricultural diversity, and production potential. He emphasized the invaluable nature of the projects signed under the IPARD III Programme in the beekeeping, meat production, aquaculture, and rural tourism sectors, as they will enable Artvin to transform this potential into added value, reduce rural migration, and strengthen the local economy. Gökhan Çengel, a staff member of the IPARD Managing Authority, delivered a comprehensive presentation informing attendees about the sectors supported under the IPARD III Programme. During the presentation, participants received detailed information on investments in the physical assets of agricultural holdings, investments in the processing and marketing of agricultural and fishery products, the Advisory Services Measure, the Development of Local Development Strategies - the LEADER Approach, public infrastructure investments in rural areas, and the diversification of farm activities and business development measures. ARDSI President Ahmet Antalyalı and Artvin Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Neşat Ulutaş also delivered speeches and presentations. The event was attended by Artvin Mayor Bilgehan Erdem, Artvin Çoruh University Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Aydın, producers' associations, farmers, investors, professional chambers, public institutions, and representatives of media organizations.
