In his speech, Hasan Hüseyin HAN, Head of Department at the European Union Structural Adjustment Managing Authority, stated that the Republic of Turkey's contribution was 25% in the previous IPARD Programme period, but this rate has been increased to 50% in IPARD III. He also stated that the Program's budget has been increased from €556 million to €785 million, thus benefiting more investors. He stated that thanks to this support, collective structures and potential beneficiaries in Bolu province are expected to implement projects, particularly in the livestock and beekeeping sectors. Mr. HAN stated that introductory meetings will continue in the provinces newly included in the programme as part of the Managing Authority's expansion of the IPARD programme nationwide.
At the introductory meeting, Dr. Ahmet ANTALYALI and Mr. Zekeriya AR, Bolu Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, delivered speeches and presentations. Gökhan ÇENGEL, an agricultural engineer with the IPARD Managing Authority, also delivered a comprehensive presentation informing attendees about the sectors supported under the IPARD III Programme. The meeting was attended by representatives of agricultural producer associations, farmers, investors, municipalities, universities, chambers of commerce and industry, chambers of tradesmen and artisans, provincial and district directorates of agriculture and forestry, experts from the Provincial Liaison Office, public institutions and organizations, and representatives of media organizations.
The meeting concluded with a commemorative photo following a general evaluation and question-and-answer session.
