Publicity, information and field visit activities were carried out in Bingöl by the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, IPARD Managing Authority, in order to effectively promote the IPARD III Programme.
In this scope, visits were made to Bingöl Governor Ahmet Hamdi USTA, Bingöl Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board of Directors and Chairman Kadir ÇİNTAY, Bingöl Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Burhan BAHADIR, ARDSI Bingöl Liaison Office and to the facilities of SÜTAŞ in Bingöl.
Speaking at the IPARD III Publicity and Information Meeting held by our General Directorate, Bingöl Governor Ahmet Hamdi USTA stated that the IPARD Programme, which was previously implemented in 42 provinces, started to be implemented in 81 provinces as of 2024, and thus Bingöl was included in the scope of support for the first time this year with IPARD III Programme. He emphasised that the projects to be implemented will make a great contribution to the economy of the province, create new jobs and increase the level of welfare in rural areas. He expressed his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the IPARD Programme and especially to the Minister of Agriculture and the Directorate General of Agricultural Reform.
In his speech, Hasan Hüseyin HAN, Head of Department of European Union Structural Adjustment Managing Authority, stated that there are various changes with the IPARD III programme and one of the most important ones is that while the contribution of the Republic of Türkiye was 25% in the previous IPARD Programme period, it is increased to 50% in IPARD III, and the budget of the Programme was increased from 556 million Euro to 785 million Euro, and more investors will benefit from the support. He expressed that owing to these supports, collective structures and potential beneficiaries are expected to realise projects in Bingöl, especially in the livestock production and beekeeping sectors. Mr. HAN said that on the occasion of the expansion of the IPARD programme throughout the country by the Managing Authority, publicity meetings will continue in the provinces newly included in the programme. Dr. Ahmet ANTALYALI, President of the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution and Dr. Burhan BAHADIR, Bingöl Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry delivered speeches and presentations at the introductory meeting. Moreover, IPARD Managing Authority staff, agricultural engineer, Gökhan ÇENGEL delivered a comprehensive presentation informing the participants about the sectors supported under the IPARD III Programme (2021-2027).
Representatives of Agricultural Producer Associations, Farmers, Investors, Municipalities, University, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Provincial and District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Staff, Provincial Liaison Office experts, public institutions and organisations and media organisations attended the meeting.
The meeting ended with a commemorative photo session following the general assessment and questions and answers.
