IPARD III Publicity and Information meeting was organized in Sakarya by the General Directorate of Agricultural Reform, IPARD Managing Authority, to ensure effective promotion of the IPARD III Programme.
In his address, Mr. Lütfi BAYRAKTAR, Member of Parliament from Sakarya, member of Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Affairs, said: "Thanks to the IPARD III Programme, the IPARD supports that benefited 42 provinces so far will be available in 81 provinces from now on for investors and farmers. Under this Programme, not only the high amount of demands from entrepreneurs in Sakarya province will be met, but also significant rural development investments will have been undertaken in our provinces where the Programme will be implemented for the first time. In this context, the meeting held by our Ministry in our province is very important and we wholeheartedly want our sector to benefit from this programme in the most extensive way.”
In his speech, Mr. Hasan Hüseyin HAN, Head of IPARD Managing Authority Department, emphasised the importance of expanding the scope of the programme to 81 provinces within the scope of IPARD III Programme. Underlining that publicity activities are carried out for the newly included provinces, HAN added "Another important change in the programme was the increase in the Republic of Türkiye's contribution from 25 percent to 50 percent. This has paved the way for more citizens to benefit from these innovations." HAN also mentioned the measures that have been newly added to the programme and that they plan to implement starting from the next period, and conveyed that they have prepared the Fourth National Rural Development Strategy Document and established the Common Agricultural Policy Network Structure of Türkiye, and that these actions will be shared with the public in the coming days. Mr Ahmet ANTALYALI, President of Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution and Ali Ulvi ÖZERDEM, Sakarya Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, delivered their speeches at the meeting.
In the presentation delivered after the speeches, comprehensive information was provided on the sectors supported under the IPARD III Programme.
Sakarya MP Ertuğrul Kocacık, Sakarya Deputy Governor Mehmet POLAT, ARDSI General Coordinator of Project Services Selda COŞKUN, representatives of Agricultural Producer Associations, Farmers, Investors, Municipalities, University, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen, Provincial and District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry Personnel, Provincial Liaison office experts, representatives of public institutions and organisations and media organisations attended the meeting. After the general discussion and questions and answers session, the meeting ended with taking a commemorative photograph.
