“Rural’s Dreams are interlaced with nets”

“National Rural Network Launching Meeting” was realized on 28 November 2017 in Ankara.

The launch up meeting for setting up of National Rural Network (NRN) necessary for effective and efficient implementation of Instrument for Pre-Accession Rural Development (IPARD) Programme as well as extension of successful implementation examples including the publicity of NRN to all stakeholders was realized on 28 November 2017 by General Directorate of Agrarian Reform (GDAR) Department of EU Structural Adjustment Managing Authority. Roughly 300 representatives from relevant public institutions, chambers, universities, municipalities, NGOs, Local Action Groups formed under LEADER measure, development agencies, farmers and rural entrepreneurs participated to the meeting.
The launch up meeting began with the NRN awareness speech of Dr. Şenay SEVENGÖR from GDAR and followed by the unique music therapy of Dr. Züleyha ABDULLAYEVA from Azerbaijan Academy of Fine Arts whose indigenous talent comes from establishing an energy bond between the audience as well as engaging a dialogue with the vibrational energy field and then transferring them to improvised piano.
The meeting was followed by the addressing speeches of Deputy Undersecretariat of MoFAL Hasan ÖZLÜ, General Director of GDAR Abdullah Burak KESER, Head of Managing Authority Muhammed ADAK, President of ARDSI Dr. Ahmet ANTALYALI, representative from EU Commission Iwona LISZTWAN. The representatives of relevant public institutions, chambers, universities, municipalities, NGOs, LAGs, farmers and rural entrepreneurs participated to the meeting.
In the scope of the meeting presentations were as follows; On-Going Rural Development Activities carried out by Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock by Ali ERGİN Head of Department of MA for EU Structural Adjustment, Italian experiences on NRN by Beatrice CAMAIONI from Italy, Local Action Group Experience by Muhammed AKYOL as the Mayor of Gördes, Principles of National Rural Development Policy by Burak YARDIMCI from Ministry of Development, NGO Experiences on Rural Development by İbrahim TUĞRUL from Development Foundation of Turkey, National Rural Development Strategy and Action Plan by Ali Fuat CEYLAN from GDAR National Rural Network Presentation by Dr. Şenay SEVENGÖR from GDAR, Local Rural Development Presentation by Seher MUĞLA from GDAR.
Besides stands were set up by LAGs introducing the local products specific to their LAG areas. Following the presentations, the participants visited the stands.
NRN is a structural network that facilitates the share of know-how and knowledge between all partners in rural development in order to support the attainment of the aims and objectives defined in rural development programmes.
National Rural Network will provide efficient and strong cooperation in establishing rural bonds between relevant partners at local, regional and national level.
