In order to implement the LEADER Approach more effectively and efficiently, the EU Structural Adjustment Managing Authority team visited Amasya Province Local Action Groups (LAGs) on 17-19 October 2022 to evaluate the current status and implementation processes of the Local Action Groups.
Within the scope of these three-day visits, the Amasya Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry and the ARDSI Provincial Coordinator were visited and information was shared about the activities of the LAGS established in the province of Amasya. Then, Göynücek LAG, Taşova LAG and Gümüşhacıköy LAG were visited at the associations' offices in their districts.
During the meetings held at the association office with Göynücek LAG President Halil ALABUĞA and LAG Director Hale ERTOPÇU BOZTEPE it has been noted that in the activity period of November 2020, 5 weaving looms were purchased and a Weaving Workshop was established for the women in the district to produce in accordance with the protocol signed with the Göynücek Social Entrepreneurs Association. Besides, an official vehicle was purchased to be put to use by the association during the first activity period of 2021. Within the scope of the small project activity of the year 2022, a local products and art festival was held under the name of “Producer and Consumer Meet“.

Taşova LAG President Kadir AYDOĞAN, LAG Director Gülhan ÇAKIR, Board members Ahmet GÜNAYDIN and Şensoy ÖZDEMIR stated that a grape squeezing machine was purchased to be used in the production of molasses and wort in order to support the people of Baraklı village within the scope of the small project activity for the year 2022. Local people have stated that this machine both saves time and minimizes product loss. Similarly, within the scope of the small project activity in 2022, tomato paste machine, vacuum machine, household type vacuum machine, monster type stove and boiler were purchased and offered to the use of the local people to support the women in the village of Andiran in vegetable production.
In the meetings and field investigations with Gumushacikoy LAG Experts Fatma İRTEGÜN, Serhat SARITAŞ and Board Member Birsel BAYRAK, they said that they installed 29 signposts on the site so that local and foreign tourists can easily find the sightseeing areas and routes in the district; besides, within the scope of the 2022 Small Project activities, they built a children's playground in the Çamtepe picnic area in the Adatepe neighborhood.

Opinions were exchanged with the directors and experts of the association regarding the activities carried out in line with the YKS prepared by the LAGs, the work, problems and expectations of the National Rural Network (UKA).
It was emphasized that as IPARD MO, we will always stand by the LAGs.
