The launch event of the European Union Common Agricultural Policy (OTP) Network was held in Brussels on October 6, 2022, Thursday. The EU OTP Network will serve as a platform for the exchange of knowledge and information, peer-to-peer learning and the sharing of experiences and good practices in the implementation of OTP. It will bring together existing stakeholders covering innovation, implementation and evaluation under a single network at the EU level and will also include new ones.
The EU OTP Network Launch Event, which started with the opening speech of Mr Maciej Golubiewski, Head of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Agriculture, continued with interactive session meetings, including the Rural Inspiration 2022 Award Ceremony. The theme of the Rural Inspiration Awards 2022 was 'The Future is Youth', inspired by the long-term vision for rural areas 2022 and the Rural Pact developed by the European Commission.
Workshops were held on four thematic categories, namely application, innovation, communication and evaluation. A space was opened for stakeholders to organize their own sessions. The event also ensured networking opportunities and peer-to-peer exchanges.
The winners were determined in four thematic categories. Besides, in addition to thematic categories, 7400 people from all over Europe determined the winner of the Youth Popular Vote via the online voting system. Mr Maciej Golubiewski, Head of the Cabinet of the Commissioner for Agriculture of the European Commission, presented the awards by announcing the five winners at the award ceremony of the Rural Inspiration Awards 2022, which took place during the EU OTP Network Launch Event.
